Abstract: 

About 1% of the people in the world suffer from epilepsy. The first stage of the treatment of epilepsy is the accurate diagnosis. One way to diagnose epilepsy is the precise analysis of EEG signals. Therefore various techniques have been proposed in the literature for the detection of epileptic seizures in EEG signals. In this article, we have distinguished and separated the epileptic EEG signals from the normal EEGs, by using a new intelligent and heuristic algorithm, called INCLINED PLANES SYSTEM OPTIMIZATION. We used wavelet transform for extracting features, because of nonlinear and non-stationary properties of the EEG signals. Then we diagnosed epilepsy, by using extracted features from wavelet transform and implement them on IPO algorithm. According to this study, we found out the IPO has got a high ability to diagnosis epilepsy in complicated and non-stationary EEG signals.

Abstract: 

Given the complexity of the underground water environment, the invention of new technologies and the use of advanced techniques in this area has contributed greatly to improving the management of groundwater resources. In this study, FEM-IPO simulation-OPTIMIZATION model was used to manage the groundwater operation. The aquifer mathematical modeling was done by the numerical simulation of the finite elements, taking into account two-dimensional equations of groundwater flow. In this study, three scenarios were considered for the optimum management. In each scenario with different and distinctive wells, the amount of losses and costs required for pumping according to water requirement was evaluated. Also, the studied area was divided into 3 regions based on the amount of hydraulic conduction coefficient. Finally, the cost of the pumping of the wells according to the target (well positioning for the optimal utilization, the reduction of the dropping level) was optimized using the sloped surface algorithm. The results showed that considering the hypothetical aquifer of 7 pumping wells, by disabling two wells in scenario 1, the aquifer had the lowest cost for pumping and water loss. The water level calculated by the finite element model was compared with the observed water level so that the relative error and root mean square error were calculated to be 0. 00024 and 0. 223 respectively indicating high accuracy of the model.

Abstract: 

One of the most important factors influencing the development of e-commerce and web-based commerce is security. However development of e-commerce leads to phishing and steal the customer information. So the various methods have been designed to detect phishing websites in the literature. Lacks of attention to the short lifetime of phishing website, and to reduce the amount of computation are the main gaps of these methods. In this paper, a new intelligent approach is proposed to detect phishing websites, in e-banking by extracting sensitive features of websites on phishing attacks and classifying candidate websites in three classes such as phishing, legitimate and suspicious websites based on INCLINED PLANES OPTIMIZATION algorithm. The comparison results of the new intelligent approach with the best available techniques, demonstrate the ability of this approach to detect phishing websites.

Abstract: 

One of the most important factors influencing the development of information technology on internet is steal the customer information. This security threat is known as phishing. With regarding to review and analysis of the published methods, lake of create the flexibility to effective attribute selection in the procedure of phishing websites detection, non- dynamic behavior of classification algorithm on target websites and also no attention to reduce the amount of computation for the large number of websites are the main gaps of these methods. To achieve the above-mentioned objectives, a new dynamic mechanism is planned to flexible attribute reduction based on designing threshold change of assessment in this paper. Then INCLINED PLANES OPTIMIZATION algorithm is memorized based soft reducing the effect of the embedded memory though high iterations and 12 fuzzy rules are defined in a fuzzy inference SYSTEM for intelligent dynamiting the algorithm. The experimental results of the proposed intelligent algorithm and the comparison the algorithms with the best available algorithms; demonstrate the ability of the modified INCLINED PLANES OPTIMIZATION algorithm to detect phishing websites and satisfy the above mentioned objectives.

Abstract: 

Power amplifier is one of the main components in the RF transmitters. It must provide various stringent features that can lead to complicating the design. In this paper, a new optimizing method based on the INCLINED PLANES SYSTEM OPTIMIZATION algorithm is presented for the design of a discrete power amplifier. It is evaluated in a 2.4-3 GHz power amplifier, which is designed based on “Cree’s CGH40010F GaN HEMT”. The OPTIMIZATION goals are input and output return losses, Power Added Efficiency, and Gain. Large signal simulation of the optimized power amplifier shows a good performance across the bandwidth. In this frequency range, the input and output return losses are about lower than -10 dB, the Power Added Efficiency is greater than 51%, while the Gain is higher than 13.5 dB. A two-tone test with a frequency space of 1 MHz is applied for the linearity evaluation of the designed power amplifier. The obtained result shows that the power amplifier has good linearity with a low memory effect.

Abstract: 

Inclination of the ground plane and large terrain irregularities may cause beam broadening of the scattered field patterns. The conventional formulation of the parabolic equation method (PEM) is not feasible and straightforward for the analysis of scattered fields. It is proposed to formulate the parabolic equation method in such a way as to be capable of considering the beam broadening of field patterns, so that PEM may be able to treat the analysis of radio wave propagation over the ground with large irregularities. In this paper, we intro introduce a new formulation for the analysis of radio wave propagation over smooth INCLINED ground PLANES by PEM. Contrary to the available formulations for the analysis of radio wave propagation over irregular terrains, in the proposed PEM method, the propagation of scattered waves from the ground plane is considered and accounted for in a separate manner from the incident waves. It will be observed that the PEM procedure is capable of analyzing the radio wave propagation over irregular ground PLANES with large slopes.

Abstract: 

The performance of an Analog/Digital (A/D) converter, various aspects like general architecture of the converter, architecture of the building blocks or design of the blocks can be improved. The comparator block is a fundamental block in data converters. Due to contradicting design purposes, circuit constraints and necessities, design of comparators and obtaining best circuit performance are complicated and challenging. Such challenges in circuit design necessitate presenting approaches which not only satisfy all the objectives but also, they are cost effective in terms of time and cost. One of the approaches which has recently attracted attentions is the heuristic algorithms based intelligent Methods. INCLINED PLANES SYSTEM OPTIMIZATION algorithm (IPO) is a novel heuristic algorithm inspired by dynamic movement of the objects on frictionless INCLINED PLANES. But despite its remarkable ability for exploration and exploitation of the search space, its standard model has complex relationships with many structural parameters that often confuse the user in choosing the effective values for them. In this paper, IPO algorithm is simplified to present a heuristic algorithm (called SIPO) and its efficiency in OPTIMIZATION of 10 standard benchmarks has been evaluated. Then, a multi-objective version of the proposed algorithm (called MOSIPO) for design and OPTIMIZATION of double tail comparator is presented and its efficiency in OPTIMIZATION of double tail comparator has been evaluated and compared with popular multi-objective intelligent methods. The results clearly demonstrate the improved performance and superiority of SIPO and MOSIPO compared to the other methods.

Abstract: 

Soft computing techniques in engineering sciences have covered a large amount of research. Among them is the design and OPTIMIZATION of navigation SYSTEMs for use in land, sea, and air transportation SYSTEMs. Therefore, in this paper, an attempt is made to take advantage of novel approaches of intelligent metaheuristic OPTIMIZATION for designing integrated navigation SYSTEMs. For this purpose, the INCLINED PLANES SYSTEM OPTIMIZATION algorithm with several modified and new versions have been used along with two well-known methods of genetic algorithm and particle swarm OPTIMIZATION. Considerations are made on an INS/GNSS problem with IMU MEMS inertia measurement modules. Process and measurement noise covariance matrices are considered as design variables and the sum of mean-squares-error as an objective function in the form of a single-objective minimization problem. Outputs are presented in terms of statistical and performance indicators such as runtime, fitness, convergences, angular-velocity accuracy, latitude, longitude, altitude, roll, pitch, yaw, and routing along with the ranking of algorithms. The overall assessment indicated the correctness of the performance and the relative superiority of the IPO and IIPO over the competitors and competitive performance of the assumed algorithms in comparison with the volume of considerations and calculations of the base problem.

Abstract: 

ANFIS SYSTEMs have been much considered due to their acceptable performance in terms of creation of fuzzy classifier and training. One main challenge in designing an ANFIS SYSTEM is to achieve an efficient method with high accuracy and appropriate interpreting capability. Undoubtedly, type and location of membership functions and the way an ANFIS network is trained are of considerable effect on its performance. Up to present time, related researches have just found type and location of membership functions, and or suggested methods to train these networks. Main reason for lack of simultaneous determination of type and location of membership functions and training an ANFIS network is the length of standard versions of Heuristic methods being fixed. In this paper, a new version of OPTIMIZATION method of INCLINED PLANES will be introduced, primarily; while search factors could be variable. Then, achieved capability will be used for specifying type and location of membership functions and simultaneous training of a classifier based on adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference SYSTEM (ANFIS). The proposed method on five benchmark datasets iris, Breast Cancer, Bupa Liver, Wine and Pima from the UCI database has been tested, which has different number of reference classes, different length of attribute vectors with appropriate complexity. Initially, the accuracy of the test dataset for each of the selected datasets was compared using the standard 10 folded cross validation method using the standardized version of the standard length. Then the same experiments were repeated by the proposed method and the results of applying the proposed method on the five aforementioned datasets were compared with the results of the heuristic methods with the standard length version. The comparative results show that the optimal and intelligent design of ANFIS classifier by variable length heuristics on five well-known datasets yields good and satisfactory results and in each of the five problems it has provided better answers than other design methods in the ANFIS classification SYSTEM.

Abstract: 

The powerfulness and effectiveness of the OPTIMIZATION methods are motivations of the researchers to use them in complex engineering problems. In this paper, the performance of the three OPTIMIZATION algorithms based on swarm intelligence (IPO, PSO) and evolutionary technique (GA) for calculation the channel's widths of the transistors were evaluated compared with each other’s. The fitness functions are defined in order to the better integration and to improve the power consumption and delay of Level Shifter circuit (LS) with changing the voltage level of 0.4 to 3 volts using 0.35-um CMOS technology. Simulation results for the sample circuit show that it reach a power consumption of 0.222pW and a delay value of 9.113ns with PSO algorithm, a power consumption of 0.39 nW and delay value of 3.741 ns with IPO algorithm, and values of 0.235 nW and 3.711 ns whit GA algorithm. In addition to a dramatic improvement in power and delay, minimum of channel's widths also were obtained. All implementations of paper were performed in MATLAB and HSPICE.
